Alive!
4/27/07
Contrary to unpopular beliefs, I'm still alive and wiggling. These past
couple of months haven't been all fun and games. In fact, aside from
casting METALLIC MAYHEM! at incorrect times and dusting off my old NES,
there hasn't been a whole lot of gaming in the past few years. And there
hasn't been a whole lot of fun these past two months. My house now smells
very faintly of skunk, I think. Really, I can't tell anymore. I think I
smell it, but I can never confirm it. And I never smell it twice in the
same place. It's weird. Anyway, I think I'll just put air fresheners all
over the place to cover up what's left.
Earlier this week, I had probably the strangest dream ever. I don't know if this happens to other people or not, but if I wake up early in the morning and go back to sleep, my dreams are always very strange. They usually involve people I know but in situations that I'd normally never see them in. Like having a co-worker become a Dr. Phil figure in my life and dispensing oddly useful advice that I can't remember when I wake up. That was part of this weeks Odd Dream (tm). But it wasn't the strangest part. Because I am quite a narcissist, the strangest part of my dream involved me. The dream involved me walking out of my garage about to go to work without any of my usual work stuff. That in itself isn't that wacky, but the really weird part was that dream me couldn't remember ever waking up and walking out the door and into the garage. It's like I was sleepwalking in a dream. Somehow, the scene shifted to me back in bed, waking up and looking at my clock. It read 9am, which is pretty late for me to be waking up on a workday, so I was freaking out because I don't know how I could have overslept. And then I actually woke up and it's only 7am and I didn't over sleep, and I'm not walking out of my garage.
Now that I wrote all that down, it doesn't seem all that strange anymore. Man, and I thought it was the weirdest dream of all. Curse my metal language.
